Sofia joined us from her hometown of Oakland, California, shortly after relocating to Phoenix. Her passion for harm reduction came from growing up and being educated at a young age by many forward-thinking activists in the local art/music scenes she was a part of back home. Groups like Punks with Lunch, who serve the houseless community in Oakland, were her introduction to Naloxone during a dark time of having many friends pass from fentanyl overdoses. Sofia highly prioritizes self-expression and brings that energy to almost everything she does. In her free time, she’s most likely enjoying her time with her son and husband, dancing at shows, hosting a horror movie night, or getting creative with some big home improvement project.
