Mayra Valdoinos was born in Prosser WA. At the age of seven, she and her family moved to Yuma, AZ. At a young age Mayra was introduced to substances that later led to juvenile detention centers and even foster homes. After many years of addiction, Mayra made a drastic change with her life and began a new path of recovery. Mayra has had many jobs but none have brought her the joy and happiness as helping others who have the same lived experiences with substances. Mayra is certified as a Peer Support since 2019 and has worked in the behavioral health field since then. She hopes to continue to advocate for and with people who use drugs to help reach their goals. Mayra is passionate to build a safer and stronger community in Arizona. She is thrilled to be of service to individuals and communities impacted by drug use.
