Robert (Bobby) Johnson started his journey with SPW as a volunteer and then as a Peer Support Specialist. Bobby has struggled with chaotic substance use and brings his lived experience through empathy and compassion for the people he serves. Bobby received his Bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University in Behavioral Health Sciences with certificates in Substance Use Counseling. He resides in Phoenix, Arizona, with his partner and their two dogs, Lucy and Desi. Bobby will be working toward his masters’s degree in Clinical Mental Health counseling where he will continue his work supporting those whose lives are affected by chaotic substance use specifically working with marginalized communities affected by systemic issues beyond their control. Outside of his work with SPW, Bobby enjoys making music with his synthesizers and drum machines, he also enjoys fishing, camping, hiking, and paddle boarding and is a huge meditation and dharma enthusiast.
