Ana was born in Phoenix but moved to Douglas, a small border town next to Mexico, years ago. She comes to SPW with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and as a Mental Health First Aide certificate recipient. She has done tons of volunteer work in the town of Douglas, trying to create better opportunities for the community with a big passion for Harm Reduction and helping those in need. Ana hopes to be an advocate for those people who have been marginalized and left without a voice and with so many barriers that need breaking down, and more importantly, she hopes to preserve her Mexican American culture while doing so.
