April moved from Pennsylvania at the young age of 5, and has lived here most of her life, with a short time in CO. She is a dedicated community member who has led public health strategies and funding efforts to expand access to care and prevention services in sexual health and mental health settings. She strongly values community-centered approaches and cross-sector collaboration and was drawn to SPW due to the culture and commitment to following the lead of those directly impacted. In her role, April leads SPW’s grants and compliance efforts, helping continue funding and secure new dollars that allow these essential community health services. In her free time, she is usually hand in hand with her wife, either at a concert, camping, doing art in a park, or mostly likely spending time with family.
