Talofa lava! Malo le soifua maua ma le lagi e mamā. Leilani, also known as Lani, was born and raised on the west side of la Finikera (occupied O’odham Jeved) and calls the Alhambra community home.
Lani’s interest in harm reduction comes from a duty to challenge colonial/western medicine, which was sparked during their studies in Public Health at Northern Arizona University.
As an indigenous person from Pasifika con raices de Coahuilteca, Lani aims to learn from and implement teachings from their ancestors to achieve true community care that is rooted in alofa.
You can catch Lani at community events, on the dancefloor, or scheming to liberate occupied lands from the grip of western imperialism. #LandBack
