Peer support FAQs

Our Harm Reduction Outreach Workers (or HROWs) are our frontline team members hitting the streets and supporting people who use drugs. They distribute free outreach supplies, conduct on-the-spot HIV and hepatitis C testing, and provide peer support to Arizonans who use (or used to use) drugs. We never require you to be sober, or to even want to become sober. No matter what your goals are to become healthier, safer, and happier, we will help you
Peer support means that our HROWs – many of whom have similar kinds of life experiences to you – work with you on a one-one-one basis to set and meet goals. They help with all kinds of support, such as getting a new ID, providing you a ride to a doctor’s appointment, or going to court appearances with you. We’re here to help you get to where you want to be, no matter where that is.
Our easy HIV and hepatitis C testing gives you results in 20 minutes with only a few drops of blood. If your test comes back positive, we will work with you to get connected to a doctor and started on medications. Most of our testing happens out in the community, so contact us to find out where we’ll be!

Call, text, or e-mail us (at 480-442-7086 or [email protected]) and we’ll let you know where we’re going to be. If you aren’t able to meet up with our HROWs, you can fill out a mailorder request.

We don’t ask for any personal information when we give out supplies! If you get an HIV/hep C test or want to work with our peer support staff call or text us at 480-442-7086. You can also email us at [email protected]
Nope. We’re not a treatment facility. But if you’re interested in drug treatment, we can help you find the right option for you and make sure you can get there.

If somebody you love needs support, have them contact us! You can also request supplies from us through our mailorder request form and you can give them those supplies.
